NIDA grants + Sydney Theatre Awards

NIDA Student Grants

The William Fletcher Foundation has supported NIDA students in their 3rd year of the BFA (Design for Performance) since 1999, via the tertiary grants.

From 2022, the Foundation has decided to award a grant of $1000 to each student in their third year of the course, subject to an individual student’s work being regarded as worthy. This award recognises that the students have difficulty with working part-time, as the course requires a high degree of commitment with a full study course and extra hours involved with productions through the year.

The recipients of this award will be listed each year.

Sydney Theatre Awards

Since 2009, the William Fletcher Foundation has provided $1000 a year for Design Awards at the annual Sydney Theatre Awards. The awards commitment was increased to $1500 in 2012 and $2000 in 2013.
