Todd Fuller wins the William Fletcher Travelling Fellowship & Rome Residency

Todd Fuller has won the William Fletcher Travelling Fellowship and Rome Residency at the British School at Rome, April–June 2013.

Todd’s works include figurative sculpture and marathon drawing sequences for animated storytelling concerning human emotions.

He says, “I wish to undertake an intense daily study of classical and baroque sculpture, just as Bernini learned to bring such movement into his figures. I will pursue similar goals using contemporary technologies.”

The announcement was made during an exhibition in the Long Room, Building 25 at the National Art School on Friday 7 September 2012.

Besides the finalists’ work, there were some paintings by the eponymous artist, William Fletcher (1924–1983).
