In 2006, Eula became the first Chairman of the William Fletcher Foundation, after it ceased being a Trust. Eula had been involved with the Trust since its inception in 1985.
Eula had been an influential educator in the NSW Education Department and became the highest-ranking female in the Department, after being appointed the first female Inspector of Schools and finishing as Regional Director of Education in the South West Metropolitan region. She paved the way for many females.
